The extensive showground at Crix the Georgian mansion at Hatfield Peverel was packed with many thousand dog lovers and a bewildering variety of loyal canines on the now traditional Essex Dog Day on Bank Holiday Sunday. Giant Great Danes, tiny toys, silky Salukis, bellicose bulldogs and aristocratic Dalmatians paraded amicably with crossbreeds and cheeky curs.
It was doggie heaven in the beautiful parkland at Crix the Georgian mansion at Hatfield Peverel for thousands of dog lovers at the sixth Essex Dog Day on Bank Holiday Sunday. Huge hounds and tiny toy pets led their owners around the competitions and demonstrations. And they came in every size, colour and variety; pedigree aristocrats mixed with colourful crossbreeds, all there for a great day out.

The glorious grounds of Crix the Georgian mansion at Hatfield Peverel hosted thousands of dog lovers and their bright eyed and excited canine chums for the fifth Essex Dog Day. And they came in every size, colour and variety. Large hairy hounds and tiny toy pets, snooty pedigrees and cheerful crossbreeds paraded round the showground with their proud owners.
Records fell at the fourth Essex Dog Day as 9000 people came through the entrance gates at Crix the Georgian Mansion in Hatfield Peverel accompanied by an amazing variety of dogs big and small, shaggy and smooth but all with tails wagging fit to bust. A record profit of £68,000 was raised for charity, comfortably beating all previous years.
The lovely grounds of Crix in Hatfield Peveral opened its gates for thousands of people and their dogs of all shapes and sizes on Bank Holiday Sunday for the third Essex Dog Day, coming to enjoy a day of competitions and spectacle. And a record of an few pounds short of £60,000 was raised for PARC-Essex, the play and resource centre in Great Notley Country Park for children and young adults with additional needs.
A record crowd of around 9000 people converged on Hatfield Peverel on Bank Holiday Sunday for the second Essex Dog Day bringing over two thousand dogs with them. Over 7000 people flocked to the first ever Essex Dog Day held at Crix, on Sunday 28th August 2011. Supported by Heart Radio & The Spring Lodge Veterinary Group, this fantastic dog event was a great day out for all the family, especially their pooches!
